I am a senior at Stanford University majoring in bioengineering, and am also an avid researcher in 3-D bioprinting and regenerative medicine.
Experience
I tend to tutor in STEM subjects given my experience in these areas, but I also tutor a variety of other subjects, including English and Spanish. I've taken classes in many areas of mathematics, including partial differential equations, probability theory, and machine learning, but am very comfortable tutoring at more introductory levels, such as algebra. I have been a tutor since my early days of high school helping all kinds of students, even students with learning disabilities, such as ADHD, dyslexia, etc. I completely understand that breaks are oftentimes needed during tutoring sessions, especially after long days at school, so I'm very lenient on how I charge for time. I also understand that all minds think the same, so I always offer a variety of solutions to problems and find the solution that makes the most sense for my students. I think the strongest asset I can offer is that I become a mentor and friend to the students with whom I work as I have found in the past this is the best way to connect and make a difference in a student's education; in fact, I have had a lot of past success with my students by approaching education in this manner. I usually work with only a couple students at a time so that I'm not split among too many students' needs. I am flexible.
