Anna S.
Private tutor in Stanford, CA
Education
I'm a math and computer science major at Stanford university. I love math and teaching math. I especially enjoy tutoring, since it gives me a chance to see math through the eyes of my student. I tutor understanding rather than memorization. My goal is to teach students why something works and improve their critical thinking, rather than focusing on the what. I prefer to focus on how to tackle more general problems so that students are better prepared for exams. I also enjoy working ahead in material with students, if they are interested in moving ahead of the curriculum, and I can assign extra practice, if the student needs/wants it.

I am a section leader for Stanford's introductory computer science sequence, where I teach weekly section and assist in the tutoring center.
