Experience
I love helping people learn and understand the elementary, fundamental concepts that both rule our physical world and will continue to drive innovation for future technologies. I've been tutoring and/or TAing math and physics ever since it was possible for me to do so: - Tutor/teaching assistant for high school physics honors (2009-2011) - Tutor for college-level calculus and physics at Stanford (2012-2014) - Teaching assistant for college-level physics courses at Stanford (2014-2015) I strongly believe the best moments as either a tutor or a section leader come when the students begin to understand and realize how amazing and pervasive these physical concepts can be! In addition to math, physics, and engineering, I am passionate about both learning and teaching Chinese. I began learning Mandarin Chinese at Stanford my sophomore year, and ended up taking 2 1/2 years of it at Stanford. I also began learning Cantonese my senior year. I have also tutored first-year Mandarin in the 2013-2014 school year, following directly after a quarter studying abroad in Beijing in the spring of 2013. I also spent almost two months in Changzhou, China in summer 2015 interning at a solar photovoltaic company. Standardized Test Scores: SAT: 2240 combined SAT II (Math Level 2): 770 SAT II (Physics): 770 AP Physics B: 5 AP Physics BC (Mechanics, E&M): 5 AP Calculus AB (subscore): 5 AP Calculus BC: 5
